Stop Bad Church Graphics is a way for designers and churches to donate graphics to churches who cannot afford to create them for themselves. We believe the Gospel deserves good graphics, no matter the size of your ministry or your budget.

So
Free Church Media, Worship And Creative, and Bright Coal Creative partnered together to provide a way for designers join together to do something about it.

6 Months of Prep Launched in 1 Day

ON LAUNCH DAY (APRIL 16TH, 2020), WE HOSTED 12 CONSECUTIVE INSTAGRAM LIVE INTERVIEWS WITH DIFFERENT DESIGNER, EVERY HOUR FROM 10AM TO 10PM.

IT. WAS. A. BLAST. But we are all exhausted. Honestly though, we are so excited to see how many of our fellow creatives care about making the Church better.

Rewind the clock to last fall.

Chandler Boyce roped Bright Coal Creative in to create a sticker pack to give out at a leadership conference. One of the last concepts we developed was a stop sign with “Stop Bad Church Graphics” written in Helvetica Neue Condensed. Zero fuss — just a fun way to rant about something near and dear to our hearts.

People ate it up.

They ran out at the conference. Other people started reaching out asking where they could get more, and at that point, we realized we might’ve scratched the surface on something bigger.

In the months that followed, we…

  • Created a microsite to receive contributions from designers.

  • Developed additional promo materials, both to thank and equip designers who want to help.

  • Recruited an army of interns and other team members to process incoming contributions and get them live on the Free Church Media library.

  • Teamed up with Julian Garcia of Worship & Creative, who not only shares our passion for this cause, but has tons of experience managing a significant online community in this space.
